Delivery

We will be happy to help our client in making arrangements for delivery of their furniture. We can either help in the arrangement of a carrier or quote a delivery fee to deliver the product on our own truck within the contiguous United States.

Process

The custom order process begins simply with a phone or e-mail conversation discussing what you are looking for. Details such as size, style, materials to be used and size and dimensions of the space where the piece of furniture will go are what is needed to get started. After thirty years of designing and building furniture I have become quite accustomed to working off of photographs, sketches and descriptions. At this point a rough estimate will be budgeted and a 10% design fee will be charged to cover part of the cost of the design process. Drawings will be developed and a firm quote submitted. Drawings will be mailed to the client for review and approval. Sometimes this process takes two or three times until all of the details are worked out and finalized. Upon approval and finalization of all the details a 50% deposit will be required. Upon receipt of deposit your piece of furniture will be put on the production schedule. The remaining balance will be due on completion and prior to delivery.

Warranty

Merle Yoder Handcrafted Furniture warrants the workmanship in its products for the life of the original owner. Should a piece of furniture fail due to defective workmanship we will either repair or replace it. Normal wear, misuse and alterations are not covered. Transportation to and from our shop are the responsibility of the customer unless other arrangements are authorized. Changes in atmospheric conditions can affect solid wood products. Extreme changes in humidity will cause natural wood movement such as shrinkage, swelling, warping and splitting to occur. These are not defects in the product or its construction process and are beyond our control.
